Mandawa to Jodhpur

Another early start at 6am, breakfast and then straight on the bus heading towards Jodhpur.

Arrived on the early afternoon at the Mehrangarh Fort. Got some great views of Jodhpur which is known as the blue city and you can see why. Walked around the museum and learnt about Rajasthani royalty. Felt like a bit of a celebrity here. Everyone was staring and smiling at me like I was their favourite animal in the zoo. Had lots of people asking if they could take photos with me. Not as bad as Mikey. He ended up with a proposition from one of the workers to go back to his place! 🤣

Then it was a crazy tuk tuk ride down the hill to the village and markets. I have never seen so many people, bikes, cars and tuk tuks in one place. It was pretty overwhelming. Lots of people staring again and beggars. We’ve been told to say no to the beggars but it’s very hard when they’re in front of you miming they want to eat. Or even worse, bringing a baby up to you and doing the same thing.

Then it was another even crazier tuk tuk ride back to the bus. Didn’t think I was going to make this one. Tiny little streets and he was zipping around potholes and people coming so close to them.

Hotel was nice. The best one so far. Actually had a working shower so took the opportunity to finally was my hair. No dinner tonight…as too tired.
