Jodhpur to Udaipur

A bit of a later start today, on the bus at 6.45am to another nearby hotel to breakfast. Breakfast was meant to be ready for us, but took another half an hour before it was ready. Nutty rice, dhal, porridge and rice pancakes today.

Then off to the carpet or loom place. We watched them demonstrate how to loom, has some chai and then they showed us heaps of beautiful rugs for sale.

Next stop was the bike temple. This is a small worship temple that has become very popular because the locals believe that a motorbike is special and they worship and pray to it.

Then onto lunch. Tried a Malai Kofta today and it was yummo.

Drove up a mountain road similar to the road up Dorrigo mountain. The only difference was it was only one lane and people kept passing in really dangerous spots. Saw some monkeys too.

Got to Udaipur in the afternoon. The Indian president is in town so it was very chaotic. Went straight out again to the City Palace for a tour then out to dinner to a beautiful lakeside restaurant. It was a very subdued dinner as we were all exhausted.
