Started the morning off with a sunrise mountain walk to Savitri Temple. Left the hotel at 5.15am in tuk tuks to the bottom of the mountain. There were some lights on the way up, but mostly dark. Thank goodness for the phone torches. Took a fairly gruelling 45 minutes of stairs, but I’m very happy I made it. Watched the sunrise with a mum and baby monkey. Very special.

Back to the hotel for a shower and then for breakfast down the street of banana and honey pancakes. Yum! Then some free time for shopping.

In the afternoon, we left the hotel about 4pm to go for a sunset camel ride. When I saw all the camels waiting for us, I started to get nervous but once I was on and the camel stood up, it was fine. Went on an hour or so ride around the desert. What an amazing experience. All the locals were taking photos and videos of us. It’s still strange that they think we’re so exciting.
