Pushkar to Jaipur
Left Pushkar about 8am for a 4.5 hour bus ride to Jaipur. Jaipur seems to be really busy with traffic everywhere. Not my favourite city so far.
Had a buffet lunch (for 500 rupees-about $9) and then back on the bus to the block printing place. It’s called Vatsalya and is a place where when can work and learn the art of block printing. We all had a try at block printing, then some shopping. Everything was so cheap for being handmade. A nice bag was about $10 Australian.
After checking into the hotel, we took tuk tuks into the city for a walk. Halfway through the walk, Nicki, Mikey and I ditched the group and took a tuk tuk into the rooftop restaurant where we waited for the others. While waiting, we had ummm a few cocktails 🤣 so by time the others arrived, we were pretty happy. I blame the 18 year old bad influence! Watched the beautiful sunset and then had some really nice dinner.
