Ranthambore to Agra

Breakfast at the hotel before leaving at 7.30am on the way to Agra.

Stopped at a step well on the way. The work in it was amazing. Something like 3000 steps. We knew we were definitely getting closer to Agra and the tourists when we pulled up and there was about 10 buses already there!

Then onto Agra where we went straight to the Agra Fort. This was the best fort I’d seen in India. It had a moat where they had crocodiles in it (on past times of course!), double walls with tigers in them, guards towers and then if invaders got past all that, they had a long sloped driveway where the rolled giant stones down and poured hot oil from above. Savage people!

Got a fantastic view of the Taj Mahal from the fort. We’re going there tomorrow morning. It is very impressive, even from afar.

I skipped dinner again as I’m still feeling a bit sick, but hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
