Jaipur to Ranthambore National Park
Up early today to go for a sunrise hot air balloon ride. Only Nicki and I went. They picked us up from the hotel at 4.50am and drive about an hour to a field in the middle of nowhere. Nicki and I had started looking at each other thinking this is how all horror movies start…with a car ride in the dark with a strange man 😂. Luckily, we saw the big flames of the hot air balloon and we knew we were in the right place.
After some Marsala Chai and biscuits while watching the two balloons inflate, we climbed into the basket. Each basket had four sections with 2-3 people per section. And we were off! After an initial few minutes of hot air, be slowly took off. Watched the beautiful sunrise and went over a mountain range. After about an hour, we landed in a random field where the locals were enthralled by us. One in particular took a liking to Nicki.
After some breakfast back at the hotel, we boarded the bus to Ranthambore National Park. Took about 4 hours with a stop for lunch.
Had a lazy afternoon around the pool or sleeping, then a cocktail, buffet dinner and bed.
